Donald “Mole” Graf, of Cedar Grove, was born on October 31, 1954 in Batesville, the son of Albert T. and Maryln C. Mergenthal Graf. He married Pamela K. Dudley on June 19, 1976 at St. Peters Church. Donald was a union carpenter and also worked with Graf Concrete Companies, however he was best known as the co-owner, with his wife, of Cedar Grove Tavern and bowling lanes for 28 years. He was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Church and enjoyed bowling, woodworking, fishing, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. On Friday, January 27, 2017, at the age of 62, Donald passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati.
Those surviving who will cherish Donald’s memory include his wife, Pamela Graf; children, Jennifer (Andy) Schwegman of Guilford, Casey (Dean) Graf of Sugar Creek, OH, and Travis (Melissa) Graf of Brookville; 6 grandchildren, Sydney and Parker Graf, Olivia and Luke Schwegman and Charlie and Roslynn Graf. He is also survived by his siblings, Yvonne (Linden) Brandes, Shelly (Larry) Lunsford, Rena (Jim) Sacksteder, Trisha (the late Dickie) Rosenberger, Alan (Mary) Graf and Greg (Stephanie) Graf, all of Brookville, and Lee (Cathy) Graf of Cedar Grove. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Susan Graf.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday January 31, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 3:15. On Wednesday, at 10:30 a.m., Father Sean Danda will officiate a Mass of Christian burial at Holy Guardian Angel Church in Cedar Grove. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
