Mr. Clinton “Scotty” Scott Jr., age 88, of Rising Sun, Indiana, entered this life on March 5, 1928, in Madison, Indiana, the loving son of the late, Clinton, Sr. and Carrie L. (Romans) Scott. He was raised in Madison, Indiana where he was a 1945 graduate of the Madison High School. Scotty was united in marriage on July 8, 1948, in Madison, Indiana, to the late, Lucille N. Knaus and to this union arrived a son, Ricky to bless their home. Scotty and Lucille shared nearly 63 years of marriage together until Lucille passed away on November 3, 2011. He was employed as a Supervisor for the US Shoe Factory in Vevay, Indiana, retiring in 1990, after 42 years of service. Scotty will be remembered for his love of his roses and keeping a meticulous lawn. Scotty passed away at 9:22 pm, Monday, December 26, 2016, at his residence in Rising Sun, Indiana.
Scotty will be dearly missed by his son: Ricky Scott and his wife: Nancy of Rising Sun, IN; his grandchildren: Jody Pitts and her husband: Marty of Rising Sun, IN, Jeff Thornton and his wife: Alisha of Bessmer, AL, Jason Scott and his wife: Kristal of Vevay, IN and Chad Scott of East Enterprise, IN; his great-grandchildren: Jake, Sydney, Bayley, Kendal, Trey, Adison, Jordan, Carson, Lindsay and Michael; his great-great-granddaughter: Remington; his brother: Raymond “Butch” Scott and his wife: Shirley of Vevay, IN; his sisters: Aldean Jividen of Hamilton, OH and Carolyn Stephensen of Vevay, IN; his sister-in-law: Betty Scott of Merced, CA; his brother-in-law: Bobby Knaus and his wife: Betty of Anderson, IN and his several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Clinton Scott, Sr. and Carrie L. (Romans) Scott; his wife: Lucille N. (Knaus) Scott, died November 3, 2011; his brother: Nelson Wayne Scott; his sister: Patsy Scudder; his niece: Debra Sue Hoyt; his brothers-in-law: Lee Scudder and Loren Jividen.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 30, 2016, at 1:00 pm, by Rev. Mike Jones, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
