Betty L. Wilkerson, of Liberty, was born on September 4, 1935 in Westport, Indiana, the daughter of Roy L. and Martha Burns Collins. She married Ralph V. Wilkerson on February 17, 1951 in Fairfield, Indiana and he preceded her in death on June 18, 1992. Betty’s full-time occupation was housewife and mother, two things she greatly enjoyed. She loved playing cards in card clubs with her friends and neighbors in Old Fairfield, and enjoyed crocheting. On Saturday, November 26, 2016, at the age of 81, Betty passed away.
Those surviving who will cherish Betty’s memory include one daughter, Cynthia (Rick) Doulen of Fountain City, Indiana; son, Jack (Debra) Wilkerson of Liberty; a brother, Everett Eugene Collins of Hollister, MO; 2 half brothers, John Furbay of Cincinnati, and Jerry Furbay of Harrison; 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great, great grandchild and a sister-in-law, Viola Stewart of Niniveh, Indiana. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Daniel L. Wilkerson, and a brother, Calvin Collins.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 11 a.m. to time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. Burial will follow in Sims Cemetery-New Fairfield.
