The Bulldogs Seventh grade basketball team picked up their third win of the season over the Brookville Greyhounds by a score of 50 to 19.
Leading offensively for Batesville were Cole Werner and Eli Pierson who scored 16 and 13 respectively. Also adding some solid points was Travis Lecher with 7. Defensively, the team did a great job stealing the ball a total of 26 times and blocking 5 shots cleanly. Ian Powers also did a great job bringing down rebounds, he finished the game with 7.
The 7th grade Dogs are now 3 and 1 on the season and will play next Monday at home against Connersville.
Batesville 8th grade improved to 2-2 last night defeating Brookville 48-22 .
After a slow start Batesville pulled away in the second half with outstanding defense and held Brookville scoreless in the 4th quarter.
Cal Sherwood led the defense with 5 steals. Offensively we moved the ball well and ended the game with 13 assists. Leading scorers for the Bulldogs were Peetz-9, Moorman-8, Cornn 8, and Sherwood 7. Peters added 6, with Brewer and Barker adding 5 and 3 respectively. Siefert also added a bucket.
BMS will be in action again next Monday against Connersville. Have a great Thanksgiving!
