8th grade Lady Bulldogs beat East Central last night 33-16. Lady Bulldogs played with defensive pressure from start to finish, with 18 steals and many deflections. Lady Bulldogs’ full-court pressure led to great execution on the offensive end. Weisenbach played excellent one-on-one defensive coverage to shut down East Central’s guard, along with the rest of the Lady Bulldogs on the help side to complete the defensive victory. Jelinek led the team in rebounds, 6, and steals, 4. Leading scorers were Obermeyer and Gesell with 9 each, Trenkamp with 5, Jelinek with 4, and Raver, Dierkhising, and Weisenbach each chipping in a bucket. Next, the Bulldogs take on Greensburg on Thursday at home.
