The St. Louis 7th Grade Cardinals secured a hard-fought 29-26 road victory over the St. Lawrence Panthers Monday evening in Aurora.
The Cardinals came out strong, building a 9-point lead heading into the final quarter. However, late-game struggles from the free-throw line allowed the Panthers to close the gap and keep the game tense. Despite the pressure, the Cardinals held firm to clinch the win.
Cam Walke led the Cardinals with an impressive 14 points, while Brock Scheibler added 8 and Evan Jennings contributed 7.
The Cardinals will look to carry their momentum into Tuesday’s matchup at home against Greendale.
