The Batesville Bulldogs 5th Grade Basketball team traveled to Jac-Cen-Del Elementary School on Sunday and came away with two impressive victories. In game one, the Bulldogs jumped out to a 12-0 lead over the Madison Cubs and won by a final score of 42-7. The team’s stifling full court defense and excellent passing on offense was the difference. Leading the squad in scoring was Jaiden Kuria with 14. Brayden Maple tallied 7, Caleb Mohr 6, Trenton Jordan 4, Cayden Drake 3, while Owen Enneking, Landon Raver and Lincoln Garrett each had 2.
In game two of the day, the Bulldogs used excellent teamwork to defeat Rising Sun 40-12. Kuria had 10, Maple 8, Drake 5, Raver 5, Enneking 4, Mohr 3, Ethan Schneider 3 and William Kuisel 2.
The Bulldogs (13-1) are off until after the Thanksgiving holiday. Happy Holidays, everyone. Go Bulldogs!
