5-run sixth inning lifts Batesville JV baseball to 8-5 win over Franklin County

The Batesville junior varsity baseball snatched the lead late in the game in an 8-5 victory over Franklin County on Thursday.

The game was tied at four with Batesville batting in the top of the sixth when Dane Dudley doubled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run to kick off what would end up being a 5-run inning for the Bulldogs in the 8-5 win.

Ethan Lacey led things off on the hill for Batesville. Lacey allowed three hits and one run over two innings, striking out two.

Batesville Junior Varsity Bulldogs racked up 11 hits on the day. Dudley, Conner Drake, and Jaiden Kuria each collected multiple hits for Batesville. Dudley led Batesville Junior Varsity Bulldogs with three hits in five at-bats.
