5 new cases reported locally on Monday

Statewide — Covid-19 numbers continue to drop significantly locally and across the state as Hoosiers receive the vaccine. The Indiana State Department of Health has reported that 480 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 on Monday. A total of 667,736 Indiana residents have tested positive for the coronavirus. To date, 3,153,395 individual tests have been reported to ISDH at a 21.2% positive rate and 5 new deaths were reported for a total of 12,315 Hoosiers have died across the state.

Decatur County was the only local county to report no change in Covid-19 numbers on Monday.

Dearborn County has a total of 5,517 cases and 70 deaths reported (up 2 new cases), Decatur County has a total of 2,716 positive cases and 88 deaths (up 0 new cases), Franklin County has 1,602 positive cases and 35 deaths (up 1 new case), and Ripley County has 3,282 positive cases and 63 deaths (up 2 new cases and 1 new death). This is an increase of 5 new positive cases and 1 new death.
