40 new cases locally on Tuesday

Statewide — The Indiana State Department of Health has reported that 1,777 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 on Tuesday. A total of 614,946 Indiana residents have tested positive for the coronavirus. To date, 2,912,183 individual tests have been reported to ISDH at a 21.1% positive rate and 80 new deaths were reported for a total of 9,432 Hoosiers have died across the state.

Dearborn County has a total of 4,887 cases and 45 deaths reported (up 22 new cases), Decatur County has a total of 2,499 positive cases and 83 deaths (up 4 new cases), Franklin County has 1,499 positive cases and 33 deaths (up 3 new cases), and Ripley County has 3,016 positive cases and 46 deaths (up 11 new cases). Locally, this is an increase of 40 new positive cases.
