4-Hit Day for Schneider leads Batesville JV baseball past Madison

Carson Schneider came to the ballpark and meant business on Saturday, tallying four hits and leading Batesville junior varsity baseball to an 8-5 win over Madison. Schneider singled in the first, third, fourth, and fifth to lead Batesville.

The Bulldogs had their biggest inning in the fifth when they tallied three runs. Schneider, Alex Krekeler, and Jaiden Kuria all had RBI in the inning.

Josh Borgman was on the pitcher’s mound for Batesville Junior Varsity Bulldogs. The right-hander surrendered four runs on six hits over four innings, striking out eight.

Colton O’Neal toed the rubber for Madison. O’Neal allowed three hits and two runs over two innings, striking out three and walking one. Damon Harden and Bode Harsin entered the game as relief, throwing three innings and two innings, respectively.
