Doris L. (Boggs) Weaver, 93, of Milan passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Ripley Crossing. Doris was born on Monday, March 17, 1930, in Warsaw, Kentucky; the daughter of Clarence and Anna (Miller) Boggs. Doris married Howard Fuller, and he preceded her on November 14, 1973. Doris then married Fred Weaver and he preceded her on January 7, 1994. Doris worked at Hillenbrand in the sewing department for 20+ years. Doris was a member of the Milan American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Milan VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bingo and euchre. She loved to ride on the back of her late husband Fred’s Honda Goldwing and travel. She loved to have a flower garden and particularly loved rose bushes. Doris most of all cherished spending time with her loving family and beloved dog Annie.
Doris will be missed by her sons Steve Fuller of Greensburg, Doug Fuller of Union, Kentucky, and Mike (Sandra) Fuller of Aurora; daughter Joyce (Mike) Wells of Bright; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Anna Boggs; husbands Howard Fuller and Fred Weaver; brother Charles “Turk” Boggs; great-granddaughter Tori Fuller; and daughters-in-law Vicky Fuller and Robin Fuller.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00 PM-6:30 PM, Monday, October 2, 2023, at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. The Milan American Legion Ladies Auxiliary will hold services at 6:15 p.m. A service will follow at 6:30 PM with Pastor Tom Holt officiating. Memorials may be given in honor of Doris to the Milan American Legion Ladies Auxiliary or Ripley County Humane Society.
