Bulldogs Middle School Grapplers Wrap Up Duel Meet Schedule With Victory

The BMS Wrestling team traveled to Greensburg to face off against the Pirates for their final dual meet of the year.  The Dogs held off the pirates by a score of 52-42 winning 6 of 10 contested matches.  This win ended the regular season for the Bulldogs with 10 wins and 4 losses.   

85 pounder Adam Brewer gave The Dogs their first fall of the night pinning his opponent in the 2nd period with a strong and impressive headlock. Brady Wonnel did the same in the 125lb class pinning his opponent in the 2nd period after executing a nice reversal.  132 lb class featured Corbin Davis stuffing his opponent to the mat earning a 1st-period pin and another 6 points for the dogs.  Gage Pohlman was a standout in the 175 lb class handling his opponent with a tight cross-face cradle earning a pin as well.  Following this match was John Dirkhising of the 195 lb class where he finished the match with an impressive 14-1 major decision putting his opponent through multiple cradles.  The final varsity win of the night came from Max Amberger in the 220 lb weight class, where he made short work of his opponent pinning him in the first period with his signature half nelson. 

Adam Dance in the 80 lb class, Luke Hon in the 117 lb class, and Alex Krekler in the 160 lb class all gained wins by Forfeit tonight but still earned their team 6 points each. 

Other Varsity wrestlers competing hard for the dogs include Riley Weiler (75lb), Damien Dance (140lb), Judd Renck (150lb), and Damien Krekler (275 lb).
