Chargers Take Sting Out Of Yellowjackets

North Decatur Chargers Varsity defeated Morristown 17-3 on Friday thanks to 11 runs in the first inning.

North Decatur Chargers Varsity big bats were led by Jacob Mirick, Trent Gauck, Nate O’Dell, Ty Litmer, Noah Howell, and Ried Messer, who each had RBIs in the inning.

North Decatur Chargers Varsity fired up the offense in the first inning, when Mirick doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring three runs.

Mirick was credited with the victory for North Decatur Chargers Varsity. The pitcher lasted five innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out five.  

Eli Duncan took the loss for Morristown. The pitcher allowed four hits and seven runs, walking one.
North Decatur Chargers Varsity tallied 15 hits in the game. Litmer, Gauck, Howell, and Messer each managed multiple hits for North Decatur Chargers Varsity. Howell, Gauck, and Litmer each collected three hits to lead North Decatur Chargers Varsity.

Nick Espich led Morristown with two hits in three at-bats.

The North Decatur Chargers improve their record to 3-1 on the season with a 4-1 victory over conference foe Morristown.

Carson Parmer threw a complete game and earned the victory to improve to 2-0.

Reid Messer led the Charger with 3 hits and Conner Messer tallied 2 RBI’s.
