Travis Stangland, Boys Basketball at JCD

Travis Stangland is in his 4th year coaching varsity basketball at JCD.  He graduated from Columbia City High School where he played basketball and ran track.  He attended Ball State University where he received his teaching degree.

At Jac-Cen-Del Travis is a business teacher in the middle and high schools.  The subjects he is teaching are computer science and personal finance at the high school level and computer applications to the 7th & 8th grades.

Coach Stangland held several coaching positions before coming to JCD.  In Columbia City he was a 7th grade coach.  He then went to Rushville and coached 7th grade, 9th grade, and was also the junior varsity coach.  He was a junior varsity coach 1 year at Kokomo and coached the varsity 1 year at West Central High.

Coach Stangland and his wife, Ashley, have a son (Parker) and their daughter (Sophie) is due to arrive in May.
