Ara Parseghian passed away a couple weeks ago at the age of 94. The Hall of Fame coach won two National Championships while coaching at Notre Dame. Ara is one of the many coaches to receive his training at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
He was at Notre Dame for 11 seasons. Probably only Knute Rockne had more success than Ara while coaching at Notre Dame. No matter how many wins Parseghian wound up with, he is most remembered as a great humanitarian. Simply put, he was definitely one of the “good guys”.
