James Arthur Day, 75, of Moores Hill, Indiana, formerly of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017.
He was born August 28, 1942 in Milan, IN, son of the late James Ralph Day and Edith Day.
He served his country as a member of the United States Air Force.
Jim worked as a Collection Manager for the Ft. Wayne National Bank, retiring after over 20 years of service.
Jim, along with his wife Sheri bred and showed Irish Wolf Hounds. He enjoyed fishing, collecting knives and bowling. He was an avid reader, especially sci-fi books. Jim also liked to play games on the computer, he enjoyed playing Eucher and poker online. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are wife, Sheri Day of Moores Hill, IN; children, James Shawn (Miranda) Day of Marion, IN, Heather Ann (Mike) Felerski of Fairfield, OH; siblings, Wilma (Mike) Gardiner of Lawrenceburg, IN, Terry (Teresa) Day of Aurora, IN, Mary Day of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, James Harlan-Ryan Day, Rabekah Rachael Day, Isaac Edwards Day, Elizabeth Robin Felerski, Tristan John Felerski.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Richard Day.
Friends will be received Saturday, October 28, 2017, 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the Moores Hill Baptist Church, Moores Hill, Indiana.
Services will be held at the Church at 2:00 pm with Pastor Laura Erickson officiating.
