Statewide — The Indiana State Department of Health has reported that 6,214 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 on Wednesday. A total of 539,229 Indiana residents have tested positive for the coronavirus. To date, 2,694,585 individual tests have been reported to ISDH at a 20.0% positive rate and 80 new deaths were reported for a total of 8,371 Hoosiers have died across the state.
Dearborn County has a total of 4,067 cases and 41 deaths reported (up 64 new cases), Decatur County has a total of 2,218 positive cases and 78 deaths (up 35 new cases and 1 new death), Franklin County has 1,300 positive cases and 30 deaths (up 20 new cases and 1 new death), and Ripley County has 2,635 positive cases and 42 deaths (up 37 new cases). Locally, this is an increase of 156 new positive cases and 2 new deaths.
