Robert S. Jackson, age 69, of Brookville, Indiana died Thursday, February 2, 2017 at his residence in Brookville.
Born June 8, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio he was the son of the late John & Loretta (Humphries) Jackson. On June 4, 1966 he was united in marriage to the former Linda E. Cooke and she survives. He was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard.
Bob was employed for many years at Cincinnati Incorporated where he was a machinist. In his leisure time he enjoyed caring for his horses and working on his mini farm. He and Linda attended Smyrna Baptist Church in New Trenton, Indiana.
Survivors include his loving wife of over 50 years, Linda; a son, Samuel A. Cooke of Georgia; a brother, Raymond Jackson of Cincinnati, Ohio, and several grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Jackson & John Jackson, as well as a sister.
Family & friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Smyrna Missionary Baptist Church, 4047 US 52, West Harrison, Indiana.
Pastor Chuck McMahan will officiate the Funeral Services at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, February 6, 2017 at Smyrna Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will then follow in Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio.
