10th annual building contest to be held at JCD High School

Osgood, IN — The Ripley County Community Foundation and Genesis: Pathways to Success are proud to announce that they are hosting the 10th annual Rube Goldberg Machine Contest on Saturday, April 10 at Jac-Cen-Del High School. Doors open to the public at 10 am. All spectators are required to wear masks at all times, practice social distancing, and wash hands frequently.

Contestants for this year’s contest will consist of only Ripley County Teams.  Teams competing are Batesville High School, Batesville Middle School, South Ripley Junior High School, St. Louis Catholic School, and the Ripley County Engineering Academy.

The Rube Goldberg Machine Contest is a contest in which students build devices to complete a simple task in a minimum of twenty steps and a maximum of seventy-five.
