Batesville High School German Teacher and longtime WRBI Sportscaster Andy Koors has passed away. Andy has recently been battling many health issues.
Andy was well known as ‘The Voice of Batesville Bulldogs Boys Basketball’ on WRBI. He also called many games for The Batesville Lady Bulldogs in the past.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 24 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Weigel Funeral Home. The Rosary will be prayed at 4:00. Funeral services are at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 25th, at St. Louis Church with Rev. Stan Pondo officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family requests memorials to the Batesville Community Education Foundation Scholarship Fund.
The WRBI family expresses our deepest condolences as well as our thoughts and prayers to Andy’s family and friends. He will be sorely missed.
