Authorities are searching for a woman who pulled a quick one at the checkout of the Aurora Wal-Mart.

Police say the woman approached the register and made six fraudulent purchases totaling over $3,000 on the evening of April 24.

The suspect noticed that the cashier was new and spoke with him about how she had worked at Wal-Mart in the past.

After the cashier completed scanning the merchandise for the first transaction the woman swiped her credit or debit card and then hit the “cancel” button.

She told the cashier to hit the “cash” button on the register twice which prompted the register to open as if the exact amount of cash had been given, police said.

She allegedly did this five more times in the amount of $484.94 each.

Authorities said she selected five different gift cards and swiped one per transaction and hit the “cancel” button while telling the cashier to hit the “cash” button.
