William Douglas Blessing, age 66, of Brookville, Indiana died Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at his residence.

Born March 27, 1947 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana he was the son of the late Wilbur & Edith (Pawlisch) Blessing. On April 29, 1973 he was united in marriage to the former Janet Brown, and she survives.

He was a retired Mechanical Engineer, having worked at General Electric in Evendale, Ohio for many years. He was a member of the Worldwide Church of God. In his leisure time he enjoyed camping, photography and was an amateur radio operator, KW9D.

Besides Janet, his wife of nearly 41 years, survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth Tuttle of Chicago, Illinois; two sons, Andrew D. Blessing of Bloomington, Illinois and William J. Blessing of Grand Canyon, Arizona; as well as seven grandchildren.

Family & friends may visit from 9:30 until 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 17, 2014 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville, Indiana.

James O’Brien will officiate the Funeral Services on Monday, March 17, 2014, 11:00 A.M., at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home in Brookville. Burial will follow in Somerville Cemetery in Butler County, Ohio.
