BATESVILLE, Ind. – Voting is ongoing for the “Deck Your House, Holiday House Decorating Contest” in Batesville.

Batesville third grader Ryan Stauffer proposed the decorating contest that benefits the local food pantry. The mayor agreed and it has become the City’s newest holiday tradition.

Twelve homes have entered the city-wide contest that concludes Thursday, December 11.

Batesville residents are encouraged to vote for which holiday display they believe to be best. Voting locations are at the Memorial Building, Memorial Public Library, and Southeastern Indiana YMCA.

You must donate at least one canned good to make your vote count, Stauffer says.
