Emily Mathes was a freshman at South Ripley when she lost her life in May 2012. The scholarship fund was established by her parents and sisters.

As a tribute to the many friendships she had around Ripley County, the scholarship provides college money for two South Ripley seniors and one Milan senior. Next year they plan to include a senior from Jac-cen-del.

Anyone interested in donating and unable to attend the Versailles Pumpkin Show or the game can send donations directly to the Ripley County Community Foundation made out to Emily’s Scholarship Fund.
