Vincent Weiler, 94, of Lawrenceville, Indiana, passed away December 21, 2013 at home with his family at his side. He was the seventh child of Frank V. Weiler and Mary E. Zinser and was born on a farm near St. Peters, Indiana on April 5, 1919. He served his country almost 4 years in the Army during WWII and earned a Purple Heart in the D-Day invasion. When he returned home, he married his waiting sweetheart, Leona C. Batta on January 30, 1946. They have been married 67 years. Vincent was a farmer.
He leaves his beloved wife, Leona, and children: Frank (Pat)Weiler of Harrison, Harold (Kathy) Weiler of Batesville, Lawrence(Pam) Weiler of Sunman, Allen(Robin) Weiler of Lawrenceville, Martin (Sandra) Weiler of Batesville,Joanne (Joe) Bone of Hillsboro, MO, Marjorie (Jim) Powell of Batesville, Linda (Randall)Skipton of Bright, Diane (Steve) Gehring of Batesville, Brenda (Jeff) Bessler of Batesville, Irene (Robert) Zerr of Arvada, CO.There are 40 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren.
He leaves two sisters Marian Weiler of Fairfield, OH and Roberta (Ben) Beyer of Waldron, IN.
Vincent was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers: Victor, Cifford, Herbert, Jerome and Donald Weiler and four sisters: Edna Weiler, Rose Bauman, Dorothy Stegemiller and Jeanette Richards, his son Stephen C. Weiler and grandson Jonathon R. Mitchell.

Visitation is Friday, Dec. 27 from 4:00-7:00 with military rites beginning at 7pm and rosary at 3:30 Andres-Wuestefeld Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial is Sat. Dec. 28 11:00 St. Peters Church, St. Peters, IN, with Graveside military rites.
