UPDATE* Firefighters Say Osgood Home A “Total Loss”

Update (September 10 @ 7:05 a.m.)

Firefighters remained on the scene of an Osgood house fire until the evening hours Tuesday.

Napoleon Asst. Fire Chief Ron Reynolds said no one was injured in the blaze, but the home located at 6128 W. County Road 650 North suffered significant damage.

He called the home a “total loss” but did not speculate on what led to the five-alarm fire.

The Napoleon Fire Department will meet with the Indiana State Fire Marshal Wednesday morning as the investigation continues.

Reynolds noted that his department was there within minutes of the initial call that came in a short time after noon.

OSGOOD– Emergency crews are on the scene of a five alarm fire in Osgood Tuesday afternoon.

Napoleon Fire and Rescue 69 were paged out to a home in the 6100 block of West County Road 650 North around 12:00 p.m.

Fire crews from Osgood, Delaware, Versailles, and Batesville have also been called for assistance and the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office and Red Cross are on the scene.
