Twisters Get Victory Over Shiners

Soccer4th Ranked Oldenburg Academy welcomed Rising Sun to the graveyard on Monday night and OA came away with a 4-0 win to raise their record to 6-3-1.

OA got on the board early as Rising Sun was called for a hand ball in the box within the first 2 minutes of the game. Rising Sun was called for a second hand ball in the box in the second half as well. Aaron Huber calmly stepped up on both PK’s and put them in the back of the net. Huber also assisted on the fourth goal on a nice flick in the box to a waiting Sidney Ricke. Luke Ruter scored the second goal of the night on a nice move up the middle as he got behind the defense for a one on one with the keeper.

‘We knew going into the game that Rising Sun had been scoring a lot this year. I was proud of our defense as they stood the challenge and got a shutout. Adam Mullen was credited with his 3rd shutout of the year.’  Twisters Coach Ken Getz.
