Tornado Touched Down In Indy; Storms Moving Through SE Ind. *Update*

Fire crews are on the scene of down power lines that may have sparked a fire with some trees near C.R. 1000 and Spades Rd.

No word if this is related to the thunderstorms moving across the region.

The National Weather Service says the tornado that touched down southwest of Indianapolis caused some home and property damage and knocked down some power lines.

Heavy rains along with the severe weather has prompted flood warnings in central Indiana.

First Report (3:30 p.m.)

The National Weather Service has reported a tornado on the ground in Indianapolis Tuesday afternoon.

A tornado warning is in effect for Marion and Hamilton County until 3:45 p.m.

Showers and storms remain likely through the evening for Southeast Indiana. The NWS has not issued any warnings or watches for our region.
