Three Injured Following S.R. 101 Crash

Three people, including a young child, were injured following a crash Monday night.

The Ripley County Sheriffs Office responded to a report of a single vehicle accident involving injuries located on S.R. 101 near CR 200 north, south of Milan.

Renda Clift, 30, of Dillsboro was operating a purple 1997 Honda minivan along with passenger Noah Stamper, 39, of Dillsboro and also a 2-year-old child.

“When for unknown reasons, Clift’s vehicle traveled off the west side of the roadway, over an embankment and colliding with a tree,” said Ripley County Sheriff Tom Grills in a news release.

Noah Stamper had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Milan Fire Department, according to the sheriff.

Stamper and Clift were transported to Margaret Mary Health for treatment of head and internal injuries and later transferred to Methodist Hospital by IU Health Helicopter.

The 2-year-old child was transported to Margaret Mary Health for minor injuries.

The Ripley County Sheriffs Office was assisted by Milan Fire Department, Milan Rescue 30, Ripley County Medic, and Rescue 69.

The crash is currently under investigation.
