SDMS vs Harrison, OH – Aug. 28th, 5:00pm, at East Central Stadium, St. Leon, IN
A middle school version of the Skyline Showdown between East Central and Harrison, will take place the night before as the Sunman-Dearborn Middle School Trojans host the Harrison Junior School Wildcats. This game is a traditional rival match and this year’s game features a very tough SDMS 8th grade team. Many of the players on this team have been together since the 4th grade and since the 5th grade that group has a record of 31-0. As 7th graders last year, they were undefeated through 13 games, outscoring their opponents on average 40-5.
I invite everyone to come out to East Central Field next Thursday, August 28, to see what we believe is the best middle school football in the tri-state. The 7th grade game kicks-off at 5:00pm, with the 8th grade game to follow. We will also have a pep rally at school that day starting at 1:55pm. Rumor has it, the pep rally will include many teachers taking the “Ice Bucket Challenge.” For more information on this game, or anything team related, please contact Coach Stewart Durham.
