Batesville Boys 8th Grade Team came up short in a very competitive game to Sunman Dearborn losing in overtime 48-43.
1Q – 13-9 SD; 2Q – 22-15 SD; 3Q – 28-24 SD; 4Q – 42-42.
Isaac Barker led BMS with 20 points followed by Sam Wade and Tristian Lamppert with 6 each. Luke Schroeder and Lane Westerfeld scored 5 points each.
The Bulldogs had (6) three-pointers against the much taller & physical Trojans including (4) of them in the 4th quarter comeback. Sunman Dearborn capitalized at the free-throw line making 22-27, while BMS made 5-9.
Sunman Dearborn has 3 loses for the season. BMS finished with a record of 5-13.
Batesville 7th grade basketball team lost a tough game to a very good Sunman Dearborn team 46-43.
Trey Heidlage led all scorers with 22 points, including 16 in the 4th quarter, while Sam Haskamp added 16 for his best game of the year. Austin Siefert added a 3 and Cooper Williams had 2. Defensively, Tyler Myers did a great job with a few steals and rebounds.
The 7th graded ended the season with a very good 14-5 season.
