Storms Could Produce Severe Weather, Colder Temps

The National Weather Service Forecast has issued a tornado watch for Decatur, Ripley and Franklin, and Union Counties until 9 p.m. Wednesday.

More watches and warnings are possible as we progress through the afternoon and into the evening.

First Report (8:20 a.m.)

BATESVILLE – Severe weather is possible throughout Southeast Indiana as a line of showers and occasional storms will move through the region Wednesday night ahead of a cold front.

Forecasters say some afternoon and evening thunderstorms may be accompanied with high winds and heavy rainfall, leading to potential flooding issues.

Temperatures will drop beginning Thursday with highs and lows of 71 and 51 degrees. Looking ahead toward the weekend Saturday and Sunday night could likely have a low temperature in the 40’s
