Our next game is this Wednesday at St. Nicholas.

The St. Louis girls sixth grade team kicked off their season against St. Michael on Tuesday. Since the team hasn’t been able to practice lately due to the weather, the game got off to a slow start for the girls.

After getting acclimated to the game, the girls started to respond much better. The team was lead with a balance scoring attack. Four of the eight girls were able to contribute offensively.

The girls were lead in points by Syndey Schutte, other girls who contributed to the offense were GiGi Dreyer, Mindy Eckstein, and Molly Wachsman. Defensively the team was lead by solid efforts of rebounding, and solid man to man defense. Those defensive specialist were lead by Chloe Meadows, Grace Mack, Erin Batta, and Alexa Miles. Although the girls were on the wrong end of the score, coach Dreyer and coach Streator were please with the overall effort given by all the girls.

‘This was a great learning experience and we hope to learn from this game.’  STL Coach Brad Dryer.

The girls travel to St. Nichols on Wednesday for their next game.
