St. Louis Grade Boys Basketball Results

basketballThe St. Louis Cardinals 8th grade boys basketball team defeated Brookville Middle School Tuesday night in a low scoring game 22 to 20.

The Cardinals were able to pull out the win by scoring 11 points in the 4th quarter.
Evan Vogelsang had a solid game on both ends of the  floor, and Zeb Streator provided valuable minutes in relief.

Next up Mt. Carmel Thursday night.

The St Louis Cardinals 7th grade basketball team were able to chalk up another win Tuesday night as they played on the road against the Brookville Greyhounds. St. Louis took a 20-12 lead at half then blew the game open in the second half as they scored 31 points in the half to win by the score 51 – 19.

The team played well defensively throughout most of the game and had another balanced scoring attack. The scoring consisted of Andrew Oesterling 17, Lleyton Ratcliffe 14, Kurt Siefert 6, Jack Forbeck 5, Riley Schebler, Ben Schebler, Karson Macke and Sam Voegele had 2 points and Wil Freeland chipped in one at the charity strip. Brookville Middle School was led by Josh Bauman with 14 points.

The Cardinals next game is this Thursday, November 12th, at Mount Carmel. The game starts at 5:30. This Saturday November 14th the Cardinals play in their first tournament of the season and is hosted by Oldenburg Academy. St Louis 7th grade will play St. Nicholas at 9 AM. The winner of this game will play the winner of St. Michaels and St. Lawrence.
