ICGSA Softball All-Star Classic will be taking place on Saturday at
Ben Davis High School starting at 11A. Representing the South
will be Kris Perdiew-East Central and Trojans Coach John Roth will
be one of the Coaches.
The
North/South Girls Soccer All-Star Classic will be going on Saturday
at Warren Central High School starting at 5 P. Representing
the South will be Lauren McLaughin and Mary Ellenberger-Lawrenceburg.
Congrats
to The Milan Diggers 14 and under softball team for qualifying to
the USSSA Softball World Series which will be played in Orlando,
Florida in July.
East
Central High School senior shortstop Kellen Hovland has been named
the 2008 IHSAA Class 4A Mental Attitude Award Winner. Hovland
becomes only the 2nd Trojan to win the Mental Attitude Award in any
sport joining EC swimmer Kyle House from earlier this year.

Alex Meyer on being named the Gatorade Indiana Baseball Player of
the Year!
Congrats to The East Central Lady Trojans for
advancing to the Class 4A Softball Final 4 as well as The
Jac-Cen-Del Eagles, South Ripley Raiders, and The Greensburg Pirates
for advancing to their respective class Baseball Final 4!

Ellie Tidman-Batesville (High Jump) and Kathy
Klump-South Dearborn (800 Run) captured State
Championships!
Kristal Studer-East Central placed 5th in the
1600 Run and along with her Lady Trojan teammates Kayce Doogs,
Courtney Seamon, and Michaela Cline finished 5th in the 4 X 800
Relay.
Erin Cox-Franklin County (High Jump) came in
10th.
Jeremiah Vaughan-Franklin County (1600 Run)
placed 6th and (3200 Run) 12th!
Tyler Gristing-Batesville was 13th in the 800
Run.

Jac-Cen-Del
freshman, Becca Wagner, has been selected to participate in the 6th
annual Indiana High School Basketball Showcase presented by the Indiana
Basketball Coaches Association and the IHSAA. The event will be
held at
Ben
Davis
High School
on July 12th. It is designed to showcase the best
underclassman talent the State on
Indiana
has to offer. The event is held during the NCAA contact period so
that college coaches from all over the country will be in attendance.
Players
were selected by vote from each of the IBCA's 3 districts as the best
players in their district. College coaches at the event will get a
chance to see these selected players in a variety of fundamental drills
and scrimmage situations.
This is an honor and privilege for the players selected, so
