Authorities in Decatur County report that I-74 WB is closed due to the hazardous roads. No word on when the road will be reopened.
“Now it is shut down, their taking [U.S. 421],” said Decatur County Sheriffs Deputy Rick Underhill. “I really can’t tell you how long until we get it cleaned up. There are several semi accidents and wreckers are out there right now trying to remove the semis.”

Decatur County EMA issued an Orange travel advisory due to the dangerous roads. However, lowered the status to a Yellow at 2p.m. Authorities reminds commuters to exercise caution while traveling.

1:20p.m. – The accident has been cleaned up and the east bound lane of S.R. 46 is back open.
A vehicle crash occurred on S.R. 46 near Tekulve Road in Batesville on Thursday around noon.
According to Batesville Police, the accident led to the east bound lane of 46 to be closed for an undetermined amount of time.
No word on how many vehicles were involved. WRBI will have an update as soon as information is made available.
