Severe Storms Moving Through Area Sunday

Mother Nature is paying a visit to the region on Mother’s Day with some severe storms.

A tornado warning was issued for east central Rush County around 5:50 p.m. and expired at 6:00 p.m. Sunday.

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for northwestern Franklin County until 6:30 p.m.

Scattered thunderstorms are moving across the area through Sunday evening. A few storms may become strong to severe. The main threats are damaging winds and large hail. Isolated rain showers and thunderstorms will be out of the listening area around midnight Monday.

Isolated tornadoes are possible, according to the National Weather Service.
