VERSAILLES, Ind. – Slick road conditions led to some accidents across the region Saturday morning.

Versailles police responded to a two-car accident on US 50 just east of Cave Hill Road around 8 a.m.

A box truck driven by Thomas Wilson of North Vernon was traveling east on the snow covered roadway when it struck a retaining wall. The truck then came back on the road and hit an SUV operated by Patrick Grant, 52, of Petersburg, KY.

There were no injuries but the cargo box of the truck was torn off and the content, goat meat, spilled onto the roadway.

A single vehicle accident occurred around 9 a.m. on Highway 350 and Base Line Road east of Osgood.

The driver, Katelyn Felix reportedly lost control on Laughery Bridge after hitting ice. She was not injured.

Icy roads are believed to be the cause of a Megabus rolling over on I-65 near Seymour. The bus was carrying 68 passengers and 26 were injured.
