KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The San Francisco Giants won their third World Series in five years Wednesday night in Kansas City.

Giants starting pitcher Madison Bumgarner came in relief during the fifth inning and dominated the Royals offense allowing only two hits the remainder of the game.

The last Royals hit was a triple by outfielder Alex Gordon in the bottom of the ninth setting up catcher Salvador Perez. The young hitter fouled out to the end the game. Giants won 3-2.

Reds fans can relate to the small market Kansas City club that virtually came out of nowhere to reach the playoffs. Plus, add some hope for next season.
