Rumpke Now Accepts More Material in Recycling Program

Batesville residents can now recycle carton containers like juice, milk, soy milk, soup, broth, egg substitute and wine cartons, curbside.

Rumpke recently announced that cartons are now accepted in its residential and commercial recycling programs.

To ensure your cartons are recycled, please follow these easy steps:

  • Empty the container. Containers still containing liquid will not be recycled
  • Remove caps or straws
  • Toss the carton in the recycling container with other acceptable items

In addition to cartons, residents can recycle:

  • Plastic bottles and jugs (please flatten and reattach the lid)
  • Glass bottles and jars (any color)
  • Aluminum and steel cans
  • Empty aerosol cans (with lids and tips removed)
  • Paperboard (cereal boxes, 12-pack containers, etc.)
