Robert W. Walter, age 86, of Cedar Grove, Indiana died suddenly Friday, March 14, 2014 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Born February 16, 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio he was the son of the late Leo & Martha (Gutzwiller) Walter. He was united in marriage to Clare Quinn on September 30, 1972, and she survives.
He was a farmer, having owned & operated the Metzler-Walter Egg Farm in Cedar Grove, and had also been an Electrician with Ludwig Contracting for many years.
Besides Clare, his wife of over 41 years, survivors include six children, Paula Eggleston of Harrison, Ohio, Marcia (Tim) Metz of Cedar Grove, Indiana, Brenda (Jim) Leonard of Cleves, Ohio, Andrea (Frank) Stewart of Wilmington, Ohio, Neil (Lisa) Walter of Rising Sun, Indiana and Adam (Amy) Walter of Mason, Ohio; four step-children, Karen (Bill) Perusek of Wickliffe, Ohio, Teresa (Tom) Mohl of Crescent Springs, Kentucky, Dennis (Kathy) Quinn of Anderson Township, Ohio, Kathi (Tim) Bradley of Metamora, Michigan; 28 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Dudley of College Corner, Indiana as well as three brothers, Ed Walter and Otto Walter both of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Bill Walter of Belvidere, Illinois.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie (Miller) Walter; a son, Joseph Walter; two sisters, Helen Schmitt and Rita Walter, a brother, Albert Walter; and a grandson, Matt Quinn.
Family & Friends may visit from 4 till 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville, where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 P.M..
Rev. Sean Danda will officiate the Funeral Mass on Thursday, March 20, 2014, 10:30 A.M., at Holy Guardian Angels Chapel in Cedar Grove, Indiana. Burial will then follow in Holy Guardian Angels Catholic Cemetery in Cedar Grove.
