Robert L. “Bob” Branigan

Branigan 2Robert L. “Bob” Branigan, 68, of Milan passed away Saturday January 2, 2016 at Margaret Mary Health, in Batesville. Bob was born Tuesday February 4, 1947 at New Castle the son of Fred and Francis (Wright) Branigan. He married Connie (Kaiser) Branigan August 5, 1988 and she survives. Bob was an Air Force Veteran, and retired as a teacher for East Central High School after 37 years, also 7 years at Ivy Tech and taught summer courses for Purdue and IU. Bob coached drama, wrestling, freshman football. He was a member of the Ripley County Teachers Association, Indiana Retired Teachers Association, Versailles F & AM Lodge #7, Milan Police Department, Milan Town Board, Milan VFW Post 6234, Ripley County Amateur Radio Club. Versailles Chapter 333 Order of the Eastern Star and held other titles too numerous to mention. Bob served his beloved Order as five families from 1999-2004; Bob served his beloved Order as Grand Sentinel in 1999-2000. He enjoyed amateur radios, broadcasting for WSCH Radio, playing the bass guitar, photography, target shooting, traveling, flying, public speaking, music, computers and other gadgets, eating out with friends, feeding the birds and squirrels outside of his home, and spending time with his grandchildren, family.
Bob is survived by wife: Connie Branigan of Milan, Son: Sean (Jaralee) Branigan of Cloverdale, IN, Mother: Francis Branigan of Anderson, IN, Brother: Dan (Laura) Branigan, in-laws- Bill and Freda Kaiser of Milan, 2 Grandchildren: Aubree and Corey Branigan. He was preceded in death by father: Fred Branigan
Funeral services will be at 11AM Wednesday January 6, 2016 at Hope Baptist Church 15593 US 50 Dillsboro, IN 47018 with Pastor Tom Holt officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8PM Tuesday January 5, 2016 at Hope Baptist Church.
