Robert H. Bode

Robert H. Bode, 74, Greensburg, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born, August 26, 1939 in Greensburg, Indiana, he was the son of Albert and Melinda (Brebberman) Bode.

Robert had worked in maintenance at BCA for 35 years, retiring in 2004.

He was a Veteran of the Army serving in Korea.

He was married to Joann Venter on December 20, 1969 and she survives.

He is also survived by one daughter, Lisa (Chris) Brooks, Greenwood; six stepchildren, Brenda (Wayne) Chandler, Connersville, Bev (Richard) Wesseler, Greensburg, Brent Pennington, Denison, TX, Briant Pennington, Connersville, Barb (Rick) Herbert, Greensburg, Bonnie (Steve) Motz, Greensburg; one brother, Carl Bode, New Point; three grandchildren, Adeline, Abigail, & Amelia Brooks; 16 step grandchildren; 19 step great grandchildren; 1 niece and 2 nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Paul Smallwood; one step son, Rick Pennington; one step grandson, Dustin Pennington.

Visitation will be from 11-1:00 p.m. Monday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 27, 2014 at the funeral home.

Interment will be held in the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg, Indiana.
