Robert “Bob” Bryant

BryantRobert “Bob” Bryant, 81, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Monday, May 16, 2016.

He was born Saturday, August 11, 1934 in Dearborn County, Indiana, son of the late Mary Hysell Henry and the late George Bryant.
He served his Country as a member of the United States Airforce from August 15, 1952 until February 1, 1956. About his service, Bob was quoted to say, “I’d do it again. That’s the best thing I’ve ever done is serve my country.”

He worked as a metal room supervisor for Aurora Casket Company, retiring after over 35 years of service.

He was a member of First Baptist Church Aurora and Aurora American Legion. His grandfather, Walter Hysell taught him to trap at a young age and gave him the nickname “CAP”. Bob enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, trapping and just sitting outside watching the animals and feeding the birds. He also enjoyed sprint car racing. Time with his family was his greatest joy.

Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Shirley Bryant of Aurora, IN; children, Ray (Debbie) Bryant, Rebecca (David) Jackson, Melissa (David) Hayes, Melanie (Kevin Davis) Franklin; step children, Dale (Theresa) Ingle, Darrel (Janet) Ingle and John (Tonya) Cann; grandchildren, Jason (Julie) Largent, Jennifer Largent, Nancy Bryant, Anthony Yelton, Wyatt Yelton, Beau Jackson, Samantha Jackson, Krista Moran, Kayla Slayback, Jacob Hayes, Ericah Eaglin, Alishah Eaglin, Mike Suchodelski, Justin Jones, Valerie Suchodelski, Jordan Ingle, Taylor Ingle, Courtney Cann and Peyton Cann; 21 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mom and stepdad, Mary and Ralph Henry, and his first wife of 25 years, Natalie.

Friends will be received 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Aurora, 6060 Blair Road, Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at the Church, Friday at 11:00 am with Pastor Frank Forthman and Pastor William Secrest officiating.

Interment will follow in the Cliff Hill Cemetery, Versailles, Indiana. Military graveside services will be conducted by members of local Veterans Service Organizations.
