Report: Feds Wary Of ISIS-Inspired Attacks In U.S.

WASHINGTON D.C. – Federal officials are warning of ISIS-inspired attacks against police and government officials within the U.S., our NBC News affiliate reports.

Law enforcement officials across the nation received a bulletin released jointly by the FBI and Department of Homeland Security.

According to the bulletin, an ISIS spokesman encouraged “lone wolf” attacks without approval before striking, NBC reports.

The bulletin said officials were not aware of specific threats but asked police to consider additional precautions.

Federal investigators also warn of attacks on military, FBI personnel, and media figures.

A former U.S. official told NBC News the bulletin is standard.
