BROOKVILLE, Ind. – A rally in favor of a nativity scene on the Franklin County Courthouse Square is scheduled for noon on Saturday.

The display has sparked controversy in recent years as the Freedom from Religion Foundation sent letters to county officials demanding the nativity scene be removed from the courthouse lawn.

County Commissioners have disregarded the requests as many residents have supported its location.

According to the Brookville Democrat, there will be Christmas Carols, speeches and free food.
