Rain Delays Paving Work In Batesville

BATESVILLE – An overlay of approximately one inch to once and half inches is planned to occur on Columbus Avenue, from Hunterville Road to the east side of bridge by Locust Avenue, beginning 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Due to the rain on Friday, all previous roads that were scheduled to be paved Monday have been delayed to Tuesday.

Residents affected by the milling and paving, received a notification via letter. Below are the streets impacted by the road work:

  • Columbus Avenue – From Smith Street to Mulberry/Mitchell
  • Woodlawn Drive – approx. 400 feet back from Huntersville to the West end
  • Huntersville Road – from West Pearl Street to Sycamore Lane
  • Sycamore Lane – from Huntersville Road to Fifth Street
  • Fifth Street – from Sycamore Lane to Washington
  • Central Avenue – from South Park Avenue to Liberty
  • St. Louis Place – South side only from Clay to front of Church to South Walnut
  • Depot – from Boehringer Street to Crestview Lane
  • Intersection of Depot Street and Hillenbrand Avenue – mill & pave out hump
  • Bob White – from Pheasant Run to Meadowlark Lane
  • Meadowlark Lane – heading South to the dead end

The following streets will be paved during the week of Monday, August 11 – Friday, August 15:
