NEW POINT – A 25-year-old woman was found dead in a vehicle at the Petro Truck Stop parking lot in New Point, police said.
The woman has been identified as Felicia Craig, of North Vernon. She was a former student at Jac-Cen-Del High School.
Police arrived on the scene around 5 p.m. Tuesday and located the victim who was already deceased, Decatur County Sheriff Greg Allen says.
The coroner estimated Craig may have been there approximately 10 to 12 hours before being found by officers.
Sheriff Allen says suspicious activity or foul play does not seem to be involved at this time. The investigation is ongoing as authorities await toxicology reports.
