St. PAUL, Ind. – A Shelbyville woman is behind bars accused of selling oxycodone to undercover officers more than three years ago.

Court documents show 22-year-old Brittany Flannery was arrested and charged with three counts of dealing in a Schedule I controlled substance.

According to the Greensburg Daily News, Flannery sold 65 oxycodone pills to a police officer on the different occasions in November 2011. The transactions reportedly occurred near a St. Paul business.

Decatur County Sheriff Greg Allen was asked why it took over three years to arrest Flannery, which he said investigators have a 5-year span to file charges to prosecutors. The sheriff said the timeframe to file reports vary on circumstances of each case.

Flannery is being held without bond at the Decatur County Jail.
